The Breakfast The candlelight 4-course breakfast, beautifully presented on fine china and pottery with silver and linens, is served between 8:00 and 9:30 AM at the antique English manor house table in the dining room, or on the deck overlooking the waterfall. Upon arrival, guests receive a menu and choose their hot entrée--such as Gwendolyn’s spinach/crab quiche, Santa Fe omlette, or German pancakes with sausage. Juice, fresh fruit compote, Gwendolyn's granola served with Oregon honey and yogurt, Pierre Dieux baskets filled with homemade baked goods such as French croissants, Welsh scones, apricot-banana muffins, whole wheat bread, accompanied by jams and flavored butters, and warm coffee cake complete every hot entree, along with beverage choice. As often as available, Gwendolyn uses organic fresh produce. When making your reservation, please inform her of any food allergies or particular needs you may have.
Should you require an earlier or later breakfast, Gwendolyn will be happy to provide you with a picnic of her homemade baked goods the evening before--just ask ahead. Afternoon and Evening Snacks Beverage and homemade cookies, nuts, or popcorn are available upon arrival. Occasionally, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and Gwendolyn’s famous fruit tea accompany an evening art reception. Esther Price chocolates adorn pillows nightly. |
