Many who’ve slept in The Waterfall Room on the second floor consider it the most magical sleeping room in the house with waterfall sounds filtering in through the dormer window. Decorated in mustard yellow and russet milk-paint with hand-stenciled décor, Ralph Lauren spread, antique headboard, decorative pillows, Gwendolyn’s watercolors, a small desk with Tiffany-style lamp, built-in dresser, skirted table with decorative lamp, bookshelves, and original wide-plank floors, this double-bed room is two steps from the bathroom with a shower/tub combination, shared with the Provence room. Double occupancy $125.

Exquisitely decorated in French toile, silk stripes, and soft floral prints, this room has original hard wood floors and exposed stonework. Furnishings include a Directoire night table, antique desk, crystal sconce, Italian bench, upholstered arm chair, Gwendolyn’s paintings of Provence, and a hand-painted armoire. A few steps down the hall is the shared bath. Double occupancy $145.

The Artist's Garret Suite

The adjoining room has a double bed, French bedside table, bookshelves, built-in desks and drawers, original paintings, and antique rocker. The third room is the suite’s private tiled bath with vintage tub and hand-held shower. This charming suite exhibits beautifully restored, unusually wide plank 18th century floors.
